Info
Torkul anchorage is on the western side of the island of Krk between the port of Valbiska in the southeast and Glavotok in the northwest. The bay is well protected from all winds except the southwest. We can anchor at depths between 2 and 10 m. When sailing in the northwestern part of the bay, where there are two smaller jetties, we have to be careful, as the depth quickly drops to 0.2-0.5 m. The jetties are intended for the mooring of smaller vessels belonging to the locals. The bottom of the bay is sandy and holds the anchor well. There is no supply in the bay. Above the bay is the town of Pineziči, where there are taverns, bars and a shop. The nearest gas station is in the town of Krk, which is 5 nmi by boat.
