The Potkučina anchorage is on the eastern side of the island of Kakan. On the northern side, the anchorage is protected by the islands of Veli and Mali Borovnjak. The bottom of the anchorage is partially overgrown with grass and the anchor does not hold well. The water depth is everywhere between 4 and 10 meters. Buoys are available for mooring in the anchorage. The water depth between the island of Veli Borovnjak and the island of Kakan is 2.5 meters, and between Veli and Mali Borovnjak it is 5 meters. The anchorage has a concession and mooring is paid for! Garbage collection is organized in the anchorage, and the nearest restaurant is located in Tatica Bay, which is only 0.3 nm south of the anchorage, in the town of Kaprije on the island of Kaprije, where it is also possible to get water. The anchorage is well protected from western and southern winds, but it is open to the bora wind, so we do not recommend mooring in the event of a bora wind. In case of bora wind, we recommend mooring at the Remetich anchorage or the Kaprije harbor.

Koncesionar nas je povabil v gostilno v sosednji uvali Tratica, imetniki koncesije, kjer smo pa žal naleteli na precej neprijazno izkušnjo s starejšo gaspo lastnico, ki je pogojevala uporabo WC enemu izmed članov za gostinske usluge, čeprav se nas je 11 preostalih članov posadke že posedlo za mizo.
Neprijaznost in nastrojenost proti Slovencem nas je odvrnila in smo raje obiskali prijetno gostlinico 7.Nebo na vrhu rta med uvalo Potkučina in Tratico. Prijazen gospod je tudi odpeljal pol ekipe s svojim čolnom sredi noči nazaj do katamarana, ko nam je crknil motor na našem dingiju. In slučajno smo izvedeli kasneje, da je bil oče lastnika male konobe 7.Nebo (tudi on prej ni vedel za naš obisk v konobi, ko se je pripeljal do pomola in odzval na prošnjo). Priporočamo!
