Mikavica

Mikavica Bay is on the northeastern side of the island of Žirje. It is well protected from all winds, except from the north. The vessel can be moored sideways to a concrete pier. On the northern side of the pier, you can also anchor and tie the stern to the shore. If the pier is already occupied, we can anchor in the bay. The depths are from 2 to 10 m. The bottom is sandy and in parts overgrown with sea grass. The bay is not populated and even in the middle of the season we will find a place to moor and relax. There is no offer in the bay. One inn is in Tratinska Bay, the other is by the road that connects Mikavica Bay with other places on the island. The nearest gas station is in the Jezera marina on the island of Murter and is 7 nmi away. No concession has been granted for the bay. Anchorage and overnight stays are free.

WARNING

When docking sideways to the pier, we must pay attention to the step of the pier, which is usually below the water level (except at low tide) and is about 30 cm wide. We must tie sufficiently thick fenders to the side of the vessel.
