Marco Polo

In the old city centre of Korcula, there is a family tavern Marco Polo, which has been cultivating its rich tradition since 1988. You can land the boat in the Korcula marina and walk through the mysterious streets of the old city centre to the tavern where you will be welcomed with its delicious specialties.

The tavern covers 2 separate rooms for approx. 20 people in each, and tables for approx. 30 people in a small street, located between the rooms. It is a family tavern with a long tradition in the city. The main chef is also the owner of the tavern, and he also has two auxiliary chefs. Together they make top-quality specialties of the house, which are served with a real home-made, Dalmatian touch. Waiters in the tavern are son and daughter, and two additional ones. Together, they form a successful and hospitable team that will always welcome you warmly and help you in choosing specialties of the house.

In the Marco Polo tavern you can enjoy homemade specialties, meat and fish dishes prepared in a traditional manner with a selection of local wines (Posip, Grka, Rukatac, Plavac, Dingač, Postup ...). Fish and meat dishes are prepared in an indoor fireplace, where the locals give special emphasis and are extremely proud of it. In the menu you can also find homemade, hand-made pasta prepared in their traditional way. They also offer delicious dishes from under baking, such as meat and octopus, but for this type of meal, a day's reservation is required. They are most recognizable for stuffed squid, stuffed Marco Polo steak, and for delicious pancakes Marco Polo.
