Vira

The port of Vira is on the northwestern side of the island of Hvar. It is well protected from all winds except the north. In the port, we can land sideways on the pier where the lighthouse stands or on the shore on the western side of the port. The depths in the south are 1.5m, and in the northern part of the port 5m. In front of the port, we can also anchor, the depths are between 5 and 15m. The bottom is sandy and the anchor holds well. There are technical workshops in the port. The nearest tavern is in the neighboring bay of Pribinja, and the nearest gas station is in the port of Hvar, which is 7 nmi away.
