Vela Lovišča

The bay of Vela Lovišča is on the eastern side of the island of Zlarin. It is well protected from all winds except the east. The depths are between 2 and 15m. The bottom is sandy and holds the anchor well. In the steep western part, a torrent flows into the bay, which has deposited a lot of gravel on the beach. The sea depth in this part is below 1.5m, then quickly deepens to 3m. Therefore, we must be careful when navigating in the extreme western part. The bay is completely surrounded by a dense pine forest. There are no services. The nearest tavern is on the mainland in Brodarica or in the port of Zlarin on the northern side of the island. The nearest gas station is in the town of Šibenik or in front of the Vodice marina. Both are approximately 5 nmi by sea.
