Zarače

Zarace is a bay on the northern side of island Hvar. It is well protected against west and party south winds. Strong "jugo" (SE) wind is blowing in direction E-W in the Hvar channel and creates waves in the bay. Water depths are between 2 and 15m. Seabed is sandy and partly covered with sea grass. In sandy part anchor hold well. There is a restaurant  in the bay. Nearest gas station is in Sumartin (island Brac - 7 nmi) or Vrboska (island Hvar - 9 nmi).
