Blace

Blace is a small port in the mouth of the Neretva River. It is well protected from all winds except the west. You can moor your boat sideways to the pier. If it is busy, you can anchor in front of the port at depths between 2 and 8m. The bottom is sandy and the anchor holds well. You enter the port from the south side between the island of Veliki Školjič, on which there is a red lighthouse, and the land. The depth in the middle of the passage is 4m. West of the island of Veli Školjič, the sea depths are less than 1m. The depths in the basin to the north of the port are between 0.2 and 1m. The moorings in the basin are occupied by local vessels. There is a tavern, a small shop and a bar in the port. The nearest gas station is in Ploče, which is 4 nmi away.
