Port Valun is well protected from winds coming from south side and opened to winds coming from north side. There are 10 moorings available in the port. North and south of the port there are two restaurants offering moorings. When docking on at the restaurant on the south side, dock bow to the shore. Water depth at the shore is only 0,5 m.

Valun je primerno sidrišče le ob lepem vremenu. Če začnejo pihati severni vetrovi, je pametno sidrišče zapustiti in odpluti v mesto Cres.
Po plovbi se prileže malce raztegniti noge in se peš odpravti na izlet na Lubenice. Nagrajeni boste s čudovitim razgledom. Na pot se odpravite dovolj zgodaj, ker je sicer poleti prevroče.
