Sv. Jernej

The St. Jernej anchorage near Lazaret is the northernmost bay on the Slovenian coast and lies on the border with Italy. Anchoring within the bay is restricted; a line of 12 buoys runs through the bay—following the national border and extending around the headland—to mark the protected area. Anchoring is permitted only outside this zone, approximately 200 meters from the shore. Depths range from 16 to 19 meters. The bay features a lovely sandy beach. The nearest fuel station is at the Muggia marina in Italy (a 2-nautical-mile sail away) or in Koper (2.5 nautical miles away).
