Matovica

Matovica Bay is located on the western side of the island of Rab, only 2 nmi from the town itself. The bay is well protected from all winds except the south. The bottom is sandy and holds the anchor well. Depths range from 1 m in the north to 10 m in the south of the bay. There is a hotel in the bay with its own fenced beach. In the middle is a fishing boat anchored, the stern of which is tied to the shore with two iron chains lying on the seabed. When anchoring, you must be careful not to anchor near the chain.
There are two taverns in the bay. There is no concession granted for the bay. There is no charge for anchoring your own boat. The nearest gas station is in the town of Rab, which is 2 nmi away.
