Stupica

Stupica Bay is on the southeast side of the island of Žirje, only 0.2 nmi east of Stupica Vela Bay. The bay is well protected from north and east winds and partly from west winds. There is a fenced beach in the bay. You can anchor south of the beach, the depths are between 5 and 15 m. The bottom is sandy and partly overgrown with marine vegetation. The anchor holds well in the sandy part. There is no concession granted for the bay. There is no charge for staying overnight at your own anchor. The nearest inn is in Stupica Vela Bay. The nearest gas station is in Vodice, 10 nmi away, or in Kremik, 11 nmi away.
200 m southwest of Stupica Vela Bay, there are remains of an old Byzantine fortress on a hill. From the hill there is a beautiful view towards the island of Škrovada, the open sea, Stupica Bay and Stupica Vela.
